Hey ya!
It was 2007, and I found myself in my very first aerial class in New York City. I was excited and honestly, terrified. It was beautiful, invigorating, and wildly challenging. From day one, I was hooked.
A few years later, I leaned on my ballet background, trained with discipline and began booking work as a professional aerialist. I quit my Pilates job, embraced the suitcase life and performed wherever the wind took me. For a while, it felt like I was living the dream.
But behind the scenes, I was stuck in an unhealthy relationship, overwhelmed and thousands of dollars in debt. My so-called dream needed a serious rewrite.
I took a breather and got a job selling gym memberships at Equinox, one of the swankiest spots in LA. It was a fresh start, but deep down, I knew I was meant for more than making sales calls to help a big corporation get richer.
In 2012, everything changed. I left the desk job, met my now-husband and launched Aerial Physique. It began with two silks in the corner of a Pilates studio with 11-foot ceilings and a small but dedicated group of students.
I made a mindset shift, started with what I had and stayed consistent. Within a few years, I had a fully booked schedule, published books, a teacher training program, and my first international tour. That humble beginning turned into something real - a business, a brand and a calling.
Now, Aerial Physique continues to thrive as a global leader in the aerial industry. From our studio in Los Angeles to retreats and trainings around the world, I’ve supported thousands of students and teachers — and built a business that helps others live, move, and create with more alignment, strength, and joy.
You don’t need to have it all figured out — just the willingness to begin.
